Letters, Donations and Packages:

You may send letters directly to the
Street School in Guatemala at
:

E. Guadalupe Pos
Escuela de la Calle
Apartado Postal 0038
Quetzaltenango, Guatemala C.A.

You might also consider sending checks or money orders through King Express, a Guatemalan company which hand-delivers the checks to the Street School's office and requires a signature from a Street School staff member. Call King Express in San Francisco at (415)255-4643 or in New York City at (718)898-9800. It costs $15 for every $1000 or less you send.

King Express is the most secure way to send money and you'll get a signed receipt from the person at the Street School who received the check.

Cashier's checks are ideal: they clear in a few days, are insured in case of loss and usually cost only $3.
Personal checks are accepted at Guatemalan banks but take 4-6 weeks to clear.
Please make checks payable to "Escuela de la Calle".

Please keep your receipt in case your cashier's check is lost in the mail.

To send large packages, please contact us by phone or fax and we will arrange for a Street School volunteer to take the package with them to Guatemala. This is because the cost of shipping and customs are prohibitively high and for security reasons.
